Tulips

I dont know if I mentioned it to many of you when I planted tulip bulbs back around October. Well today I noticed -They are actually growing. I never have been known for much of a green thumb and I wasn't sure how they would react with the frigid cold but it looks like they made it. They are just starting to sprout but here is an up close look at them.

Although you all had very good guesses, not quite what we were thinking. Thaddeus and I thought it represented nature giving birth to man, who knows, we are probably all wrong!!!

Hamlet

Thaddeus and I went to the Guthrie Theatre last night to see Hamlet. It was really good. While were were waiting in line in the foyer between the Guthrie and the Walker Art Center this sculpture was there. Thaddeus and I thought it was quite interesting and we think we figured out what it represents. What do you guys think it represents? (and yes the womans foot is in the bootie of the deer)

So I kind of spoiled myself and bought myself some shoes with my managers bonus. They are kind of crazy and different but I like them. My sandals are kick butt. They are Tevas and I can do everything in them (just not yet cause its too stinkin cold).
Hope everyone is doing well the sun is out which is always nice but its still kind of chilly.

Ethanol

Live green, go yellow. We were coming back from the gym yesterday and there was some guys handing these out along with some t-shirts to advertise ethanol. Good ole corn oil. It is hard to see but the corn says."Live green, go yellow.com 1.5 million GM vehicles can already run on a renewable fuel made from corn. Does yours?

Yeah I know an ad. But hey I am all for not relying on oil from the Middle East and something we will always be able to grow(it's not going to run out). GO CORN OIL!!!

Bathroom.

I have been looking for something to put into the bathroom for a while and I finally found something yesteday that I liked. I still need to hang them up but here they are. I thought they were pretty neat, and they are layered, so it is not just a flat picture. Ill put another pic when I actually get them on the wall.

????

Well I didn't hear anything about the job on Friday, so I am guessing that I probably didn't get it. oh welll, it was an honor to get an interview. Well the weather here the last couple days has been beautiful it has been 50 and sunny. Crazy, we even had our windows down in the car yesterday when we were driving. The really crazy thing is tonite we are supposed to get the biggest snow storm of the year. So we'll see if that comes true or not. Right now we just barely have a little bit of snow on the grass-hopefully the storm will go around us and it will stay that way. I will keep you updated.

Well hello everyone, sorry I haven't updated in awhile I worked all weekend. Last week we went to a performance put on by the law school . Every year a group of students put together a musical . It was really funny. It was based off of West Side story and was called West Bank story(the law school is on the west bank of the Mississippi). It basically was hilarious and made fun of the whole law school expreience.

On Friday the manager of the store approached me and said that I would be receiving a phone call. It was from a store who needed a Department Manager(I am currenlty a 1st Assistant). He said the manager of their store was going to call me and see if I was interested in interviewing for the position. Before I even got a chance to think about it I got called. So of course I told the man I was interested and we set up an interview for Monday(yesterday). The store is much larger than the one I currently work at and would be a big step up for me. I was so nervous for the interview, but it went really well. I feel good that if they don't choose me it is just because they wouldn't think of me as the right thing they are looking for. So I feel good about it either way. It is hard because I really like where I am right now but this would be a big chance for me and a let's just say a very, very substantial raise. I will find out if they want me by Friday and then I would start as early as next week. Soooo ahh we'll see, either way it was an honor that they even thought of me for the position even though I haven't been a first assistant for very long.

Well today is my day off so I am just relaxing and trying to recover from the long weekend. Love you, give me a call!
