Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains

While we were in Tn visiting Devin we were able to rent a cabin up in the Smoky Mountains outside of Gatlinburg. It was a lot of fun and our cabin was really awesome. It had a pool table/air hockey, hot tub, and a great view of the Smoky's.
Here we are miniature golfing at two different places.

This was the view fromt he cabin. We stayed in a cabin with the company Sugar Maple Cabins. I defnitely recommend them. Our cabin was called Blue Heaven.

Here is pic from the porch on the cabin.

Downtown Gatlinburg, while we were looking through the shops. Devin had me take mutliple shots with the bear.

Nashville

A few weeks ago we were able to go visit Devin in TN. My mom and dad came with us as they had never been to TN before. We flew into Nashville and stayed their the first night. It was fun to get to walk around Nashville and see the sights. Behind us in this picture is the Country Music Hall of Fame. Behind my mom and dad in this picture is downtown Nashville.
Across the river from downtown is the TN Titans arena.

In Downtown Nashville they have a replica with a museum inside of the Parthenon. They call Nashville the Athens of the East.

On our way to Knoxville we stopped by The Hermitage, which was the home of President Andrew Jackson and where he is buried.

Painting painting and more painting...

Hey guys just a quick update to let you know how things at the house are going. We have completely painted the upstairs. We wanted to get it done before heading for TN, so some of the smell can be gone before we get back and move in. Although the pictures looked nice before, trust me they did a really crappy, lazy job painting. It is now looking fabulous. They got paint all over everything, the molding, the floor, and only one coat on the walls so you could see through it at points. Well now I do have to say it is amazing. My mom and dad have been awesome and we have gotten a lot done in such a short time. We are excited to head out to TN on a vacay and are excited to come home and move in!!!

Basement

So I wasn't going to show you the pictures but I thought what the heck. The basement is definitely our project. We are not going to finish it off right now but we wanted to rip everything out so when we did get to doing that we won't create all the dust to the upstairs.

When you came down the stairs and around the corner into the basement this is what you saw. A lovely carpeted bar with red paneling and equally beautiful tile on the floor. YUCK. Here it is now!!!
To the left of the bar out the back door.

And afterwards.

Basement cont.

The wall between the two spare rooms downstairs. No more wall or ceilings!
The bathroom before (sorry sideways)

And after, lol the toilet and shower do actually work.

The dumpster last night after our good friends and family helped us fill it up.
We were so ecstatic that we were able to get all of the crap out of the house. We are now going to clean up all the dust downstairs and all the dust that has traveled upstairs from the demolition going on down. We are then going to do some touch up paint and we will be ready to move in.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE THAT HAS HELPED OUT!!!
